 nope, as long as you are in the arty recon plane, with a radio fitted, all you have to do is fly over it once and a message will appear in the top right corner saying "artillery coordinates recieved" and then you are done

 my coverage is a bit bad. Had to get about 3 to 4 runs in order to get my 75%. left about 10 second gaps. Used my bombsite to navigate the target area. Sometimes I hit only 4% per photo
